How the assessment works
Six steps — from pre-assessment intake to your annual review — designed around continuity of care.
Step 1
Pre-assessment intake
Detailed medical, family and lifestyle history taken before you arrive. We map your personal risk profile — cardiovascular, metabolic, cancer screening, mental health — so the assessment is targeted, not generic.
Step 2
Comprehensive blood panel
Fasting bloods drawn at the clinic or at home. Full lipid sub-fractions (ApoB, Lp(a), LDL particle number), HbA1c and fasting insulin, hs-CRP, liver and kidney function, full thyroid, vitamin D, B12, ferritin and a full sex-hormone profile.
Step 3
Clinical examination
Height, weight, waist circumference, body composition, blood pressure, resting heart rate, ECG and a head-to-toe physical examination by your GP. Cancer screening referrals (mammogram, colonoscopy, prostate) arranged where age and risk indicate.
Step 4
Results consultation
A 45–60 minute consultation with your named British GP to walk through every result line-by-line, explain what each biomarker means for your risk, and answer every question. You leave with a written report you actually understand.
Step 5
Cardiovascular risk plan
A personalised cardiovascular risk-reduction plan based on your ApoB, Lp(a), blood pressure, HbA1c and family history. Lifestyle targets, supplement guidance, and — where clinically indicated — lipid-lowering or blood-pressure therapy prescribed and monitored.
Step 6
Structured follow-up reviews
A 3-month progress check on any new medication or lifestyle change, a 6-month interim blood review, and a full annual re-assessment. Continuity with the same GP — not a different doctor every visit.

Your cardiovascular risk-reduction plan
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of premature death in adults — including in the UAE. Most heart attacks are preventable if risk is identified early and managed properly. That is the core purpose of this assessment.
Your GP will calculate your personalised 10-year cardiovascular risk, set evidence-based targets for ApoB, Lp(a), blood pressure and HbA1c, and build a written plan that combines lifestyle change with — where clinically appropriate — prescribed lipid-lowering or blood-pressure therapy.
Targets, not generic advice
Specific ApoB, blood-pressure and HbA1c numbers to aim for, based on your individual risk profile — not a leaflet.
Treatment when indicated
Statins, ezetimibe, antihypertensives or metformin prescribed by your GP when the evidence supports it. Continuously monitored, never set-and-forget.
Reviewed at 3, 6 and 12 months
Bloods rechecked at 3 months on any new medication, full interim review at 6 months, and a complete re-assessment annually.
Structured follow-up reviews
A one-off health check is just a snapshot. What changes outcomes is consistent follow-up with the same doctor — someone who knows your baseline, has prescribed your treatment and tracks how you respond over time. Every executive health check at Aafiyah Care includes a built-in review schedule with your named British GP.
At 3 months
Targeted bloods to confirm any new medication is working as expected and being tolerated. Dose adjusted if needed.
At 6 months
Interim review with repeat lipids, HbA1c and blood pressure. Lifestyle progress reviewed and plan refined.
At 12 months
Full re-assessment — complete blood biomarker panel, examination and an updated cardiovascular risk-reduction plan.
Frequently asked questions
What is an executive health check and who is it for?+
An executive health check is a comprehensive, one-day medical assessment designed for adults who want a complete picture of their current health and future risk — particularly cardiovascular, metabolic and cancer risk. It is appropriate for anyone aged 30+ who wants a thorough baseline, anyone with a family history of heart disease, diabetes or cancer, and anyone whose role or lifestyle makes regular health monitoring important.
How long does the assessment take?+
The clinical portion takes around 2 hours on the day. Bloods and examination are completed first, then you go away while results are processed. The results consultation with your GP is booked separately — usually 5–7 days later — and lasts 45–60 minutes so you have time to ask everything.
Do I need to fast before the blood test?+
Yes. A 10–12 hour overnight fast is required so we can accurately measure fasting glucose, fasting insulin and the full lipid panel including ApoB. Water, black coffee and your usual medications are fine unless your GP has told you otherwise.
What is included in the cardiovascular risk plan?+
Your written plan covers your individual 10-year cardiovascular risk score, your ApoB and Lp(a) targets, blood-pressure goals, specific dietary and exercise targets, and — where clinically appropriate — a prescription for lipid-lowering or blood-pressure therapy with a clear monitoring schedule. Every recommendation is evidence-based and explained, not handed over as a checklist.
How often should I repeat an executive health check?+
Annually for most adults over 40, or every two years for healthy adults under 40 with no risk factors. Anyone on new cardiovascular or metabolic treatment will have additional 3-month and 6-month interim reviews built into the programme to monitor progress.
Is the executive health check covered by UAE insurance?+
Individual components — bloods, GP consultations, ECG — may be reimbursable depending on your policy. The packaged programme is usually classified as preventive and paid privately. We provide an itemised receipt so you can submit a reimbursement claim where eligible.
