FAQs
How fast can a doctor reach me in Dubai?+
Typical arrival is 60–90 minutes anywhere from Downtown to JBR, with priority dispatch from our Business Bay base. Late-night and weekend calls included.
What can a doctor on call treat at home?+
Fever, infections, gastro, UTIs, ear infections, chest pain triage, migraines, drips for dehydration, sick notes, on-the-spot bloods and prescriptions — almost anything that isn't a 999/hospital admission.
How much is a doctor on call in Dubai?+
AED 500 for the home visit, all-in. No surge pricing at night. Bloods, IV fluids and prescriptions billed separately at standard rates.
Do you take insurance for on-call visits?+
Yes — direct billing with most major insurers (Daman, AXA, Bupa, Cigna, Allianz). Otherwise pay by card or transfer and we'll issue a claim-ready invoice.
What areas do you cover?+
All of Dubai — Downtown, Business Bay, DIFC, Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, JLT, Emirates Hills, Arabian Ranches, Mirdif and beyond.
Is a doctor on call available at night?+
Yes — 24/7, including 2am calls, weekends and public holidays. Same fixed fee, same named GP roster.
Can the doctor prescribe medication on the spot?+
Yes. DHA-licensed GPs can issue prescriptions instantly; we route them to your nearest 24-hour pharmacy or bring basic medications on board.
How do I book a doctor on call in Dubai?+
Fastest is WhatsApp on +971 52 320 1543 — send your building name, area and a one-line description of what's going on. We confirm and dispatch within minutes. You can also call the clinic or use the Book form on this site.
Can the doctor visit my hotel room?+
Yes. We visit hotels across Dubai daily — Atlantis, Bulgari, Four Seasons, Address, JW Marriott, W Dubai, One&Only and every major property on Palm, JBR, Downtown and DIFC. The doctor comes directly to your room; reception is notified only if the hotel requires it.
Do you visit offices for corporate on-call requests?+
Yes. We attend DIFC, Business Bay, Downtown, Media City and Internet City offices for staff who fall ill at work. We can also set up retainer arrangements for companies that want a same-day GP on call for their employees.
Can the doctor issue a DHA-compliant sick leave certificate?+
Yes — every on-call visit includes a DHA-licensed sick leave certificate valid for HR in the UAE, backdated where clinically justified, and emailed to you before the doctor leaves your address.
Can the doctor see my child at home?+
Yes. Our on-call GPs are trained in paediatric primary care and see children from newborn upwards — fever, ear infections, tonsillitis, gastroenteritis, dehydration and rashes. Complex neonatal or specialist paediatric cases are referred with a warm handover.
What does the doctor bring on the visit?+
A full GP examination kit (otoscope, thermometer, pulse oximeter, BP cuff, ECG for indicated cases), rapid tests (COVID/flu/strep), venipuncture and IV kit, basic pharmacy for immediate doses, and a mobile prescription pad linked to Dubai pharmacies.
Can you do blood tests during the visit?+
Yes — a nurse-drawn blood sample is taken on the visit and couriered to our accredited lab. Most panels are reported the same day or next morning, with a written interpretation from your GP.
Can you set up an IV drip during the visit?+
Yes. If you're dehydrated, hungover, jet-lagged or unwell with vomiting, the doctor can start an IV drip on the spot — saline, electrolytes, anti-nausea, B-vitamins, glutathione or Myers' cocktail as clinically appropriate.
Is the service confidential?+
Fully confidential. Notes are held in our DHA-compliant electronic record, never shared without your written consent, and receipts can be issued in a discreet company name if you prefer.
What if I need a specialist or hospital admission?+
Your on-call GP triages, stabilises and — if needed — coordinates onward referral to a specialist or hospital of your choice (Mediclinic, Kings, American, Saudi German, Emirates, or your insurer's preferred network). We call ahead so you're expected, not queuing.
Can a female doctor attend?+
Yes — please request a female GP when you book and we'll match subject to on-call availability. Chaperone arrangements are always offered for intimate examinations.
Do you offer follow-up after the visit?+
Yes. Every visit includes a follow-up WhatsApp check-in from the same GP within 24–48 hours, plus written notes, prescriptions and any lab results emailed to you. Ongoing care can transition into one of our membership plans if you'd like continuity.
What if my emergency is life-threatening?+
Call 998 (Dubai ambulance) immediately for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe breathing difficulty, major trauma or unresponsiveness. Our on-call GP is for urgent primary care, not resuscitation-level emergencies — but we're happy to speak to you or a family member on the phone while the ambulance is en route.
