What changes year to year
Most adults under 50 don't have a single "big" finding from a check — they have small drifts. Cholesterol up by 0.4. HbA1c at 5.8 instead of 5.5. Vitamin D down to 18 after a desk-bound summer. These don't show on how you feel. They do show on how the next ten years play out.
An annual check exists to catch those drifts and put something in place — a tweak to diet, a supplement, a follow-up scan, sometimes a medication. The written plan from your GP makes that actionable.

How often should I have a health check?+
Once a year for most adults — more often if you're managing a chronic condition, on long-term medication, or have a strong family history. A yearly check catches drift early: cholesterol creeping up, HbA1c edging toward pre-diabetes, vitamin D dropping in summer (when people stay indoors).
What's in the annual check?+
GP consultation, full physical examination, ECG where indicated, 40+ blood markers (cardiac, metabolic, hormonal, liver, kidney, thyroid, vitamins, iron, inflammation) and a written wellness plan from your GP after results.
What does it cost?+
AED 1,500 men (WellMan) and AED 1,800 women — both include the consultation, full panel, ECG where indicated, examination and the written plan. Itemised invoices for insurance reimbursement.
Can I do it the same week?+
Yes — early-morning fasting slots are usually available within 1–3 days, at our Business Bay clinic or at home anywhere in Dubai.
Do you keep records year on year?+
Yes. Returning patients get trend comparison — your GP looks at this year's results against last year's, not just the lab reference ranges. That's where the real insight is.
Is this the same as a visa medical?+
No. Visa medicals are mandated by the government and only performed at official DHA-approved centres. An annual health check is for your own clinical picture — what's changing, what to act on.
