What to look for in a vaccination provider in Dubai
A vaccine is only as good as the clinician giving it and the record it produces. Use these criteria before booking.
- 01
DHA-licensed nurse or doctor
Every vaccine in Dubai must be administered by a DHA-licensed clinician. Ask to see the licence number and check it on the DHA sheryan portal.
- 02
Cold-chain integrity
Vaccines lose potency if stored incorrectly. Providers should transport vaccines in validated cool boxes with temperature logging, not domestic ice packs.
- 03
GP oversight and consent
A doctor should review the indication, contraindications and consent before any home visit — not just the nurse arriving with a syringe.
- 04
Proper documentation
You need a DHA-valid vaccination certificate, an updated medical record and insurance-ready receipts. Travel vaccines require an ICVP-compatible record where relevant.
- 05
Genuine vaccine sourcing
Ask which manufacturer and batch number is used. Reputable providers source from licensed UAE distributors, not grey-market imports.
- 06
Honest scope
A good provider tells you what they cannot do — for example, yellow fever is restricted to DHA-authorised centres, and providers claiming otherwise should be avoided.
The Aafiyah standard for vaccinations in Dubai
We treat vaccination as clinical medicine, not a walk-in transaction — with a family-medicine GP behind every jab, licensed nurses in the field and full documentation you can hand to any doctor or insurer.
GP-Reviewed
A family-medicine doctor reviews your history, indications and contraindications before any vaccine is drawn up.
DHA-Licensed Nurses
Every clinician holds a current DHA licence and follows UAE cold-chain and consent protocols.
Home or Clinic
Book at our Business Bay clinic or have a nurse attend your villa, apartment, hotel or office anywhere in Dubai.
Insurance-Ready Records
Certificate, batch number, lot expiry and reimbursement-ready receipts issued for every visit.
Family & Corporate
Family flu clinics at your villa and workplace vaccination programmes for Dubai employers.
Honest Scope
We tell you when a vaccine — like yellow fever — belongs at a DHA-authorised centre instead.
Vaccinations in Dubai — common questions
Can I get a flu vaccine at home in Dubai?+
Yes — a DHA-licensed nurse can administer the annual flu vaccine at your home, hotel or office across Dubai, with same-day availability during flu season (October to March).
How much do travel vaccinations cost in Dubai?+
Travel vaccinations in Dubai typically cost AED 200–600 per dose plus a AED 250–500 travel consultation. Hepatitis A from AED 250, typhoid from AED 200, rabies from AED 350 per dose.
Do you offer yellow fever vaccination?+
No. Yellow fever is a regulated travel vaccine in the UAE and may only be administered at DHA-authorised travel vaccination centres approved to issue the official International Certificate of Vaccination (ICVP / Yellow Card). Please contact a DHA-approved yellow fever centre directly.
Are childhood vaccines free in Dubai?+
At DHA primary health centres for UAE residents, the standard childhood schedule is provided free or at minimal cost. Private clinics charge per visit (typically AED 200–500 visit fee plus AED 100–500 per vaccine).
How long before travel should I book vaccinations?+
Ideally 4–6 weeks before travel — some vaccines need multiple doses spaced weeks apart, and immunity takes 10–14 days to develop. Last-minute travel is still worth covering with single-dose options.

"Called at 8am with a fever, had a British-trained doctor at my door by 11. He sat with me for 45 minutes — not the 5 minutes I'm used to. Prescription delivered same day. Felt like having a proper GP again."
"We finally have one doctor who knows all of us. The kids actually like going. Follow-up calls happen without us chasing. Worth every dirham."
"The 40+ marker report came back with a real conversation, not a PDF dumped in my inbox. Caught a vitamin deficiency I'd been ignoring for years."
"After surgery I dreaded going back to a hospital for dressings. Their nurse came every other day, the doctor checked in by WhatsApp. Healed faster than I expected."
"Fell ill on day two of our trip. Doctor in the suite within 90 minutes, full assessment, prescription to the hotel pharmacy. Genuinely NHS-standard care in Dubai."
"My father refuses to leave the house. Aafiyah's team comes monthly, manages his medication, and treats him with such dignity. It changed everything for our family."
