How much does a private GP cost in Dubai?+
In-clinic consultations at Aafiyah Care Clinic start at AED 500 for a 30–60 minute visit. Video calls are AED 300. Home doctor visits are AED 750 during the day and AED 900–1,200 overnight. Every fee includes the consultation, exam, prescription and a written report — no hidden extras.
Is a private GP visit covered by insurance?+
Most international insurance policies (Cigna, Bupa Global, Allianz, AXA PPP, GeoBlue) reimburse Aafiyah consultations against a coded invoice. Local UAE plans (Daman, Nextcare, MetLife) vary — some direct-bill, some require you to submit. We check your policy before you pay whenever we can.
Are there any hidden fees?+
No. The consultation fee is fixed. Prescriptions written during the visit are included. Medications are itemised on the pharmacy invoice — you can price-shop those. Blood tests, IV fluids and imaging referrals are quoted individually before you agree to them.
Why are private GPs in Dubai more expensive than the UK NHS?+
You're paying for on-demand access, 30–60 minute appointment time (versus the NHS 10-minute norm), same-day home visits, and a doctor who follows through by phone with results.
