Wegovy vs Ozempic — same drug, different job

Dose ladder and what to expect
Wegovy starts at 0.25 mg weekly for four weeks, then steps up every four weeks: 0.5, 1.0, 1.7 and 2.4 mg maintenance. Most patients settle at 1.7 or 2.4 mg. Titrating too fast causes vomiting; staying too low caps your result — the point of monthly reviews is to find your right pace.
Nausea, fullness and mild GI upset are common in the first weeks and usually settle. Reduced appetite is often noticed within 1–2 weeks; visible weight loss typically begins around week 4. Peak weight loss is usually reached between months 6 and 12.
