Coming off Saxenda onto Mounjaro
Because liraglutide clears within about a day, you can stop it and begin tirzepatide at 2.5 mg the following week without an extended washout. Most patients find the weekly rhythm easier immediately.
The reverse switch is less common but straightforward: stop the weekly pen, wait seven days so the last dose has largely cleared, then start liraglutide at 0.6 mg and build weekly. We review at four weeks either way.
