Biomarkers are easy. Knowing what they mean isn't.
The market is full of "100 biomarker" subscription tests that hand you a PDF and an app. We do the bloods properly, then a British-trained GP sits down and explains every number — in context, on a call, with a written plan after.
Why marker count is the wrong question
Every extra biomarker added to a panel raises the statistical chance of a borderline result that means nothing clinically — but triggers worry, follow-up scans, and extra cost. The skill isn't testing everything. It's testing the right things for you, and knowing how to read them together.
Our panel covers everything mainstream guidelines recommend, plus targeted markers (ApoB, hsCRP, full hormones, SHBG, ferritin, vitamin D, B12, thyroid antibodies) where your situation calls for them. Then your GP reads the whole picture together — not marker by marker on a dashboard.
Biomarker testing — common questions
How many biomarkers do you test?+
Around 40–60 in the standard panel, with additional markers added when your history or symptoms justify them. We don't run a fixed 100-marker box for everyone — the right markers depend on your age, sex, family history and what you're actually here for.
Is more markers always better?+
No — and this is the trap with the big subscription tests. Every extra marker increases the chance of a false-positive 'incidental finding' that triggers worry, follow-up scans and cost without changing your actual care. We test what's clinically useful for you, explain every number, and don't pad the panel for marketing.
What's in the panel?+
CBC, full lipid profile with ApoB where indicated, HbA1c, fasting glucose, full thyroid, liver and kidney panels, full hormone panel (testosterone for men; FSH/LH/oestradiol/progesterone/prolactin/SHBG for women), vitamin D, B12, folate, ferritin, iron studies, inflammation markers, plus PSA (men 40+) and Pap/HPV (women) where appropriate.
Who reviews the results?+
Your GP — the same one who did your consultation. You get a phone or video call to walk through every marker in plain English, and a written wellness plan after.
How is this different from the subscription biomarker tests?+
Real doctor before and after the test. No app to log into. No auto-renewal. No upsell to private-label supplements. You pay once, you own the report, and any follow-up is clinical not commercial.
Cost?+
AED 1,500 men / AED 1,800 women — both include the GP consultation, the full biomarker panel, ECG where indicated, physical examination and the written wellness plan.
