Provided by: Caregivers and Registered Nurses, with GP review from Aafiyah Care Clinic

Doctor involvement: A GP reviews the care plan when clinical needs change, and can visit when needed.

What are the main risks for someone in bed all day?

Pressure sores, chest infection, constipation, dehydration, blood clots, stiff joints and low mood. A good routine lowers every one of these.

What equipment helps at home?

Often a profiling bed, a pressure-relieving mattress and slide sheets; sometimes a hoist. The nurse advises during the assessment.

Questions families ask

How often should a bedridden person be turned?+

Commonly every two to four hours, but the nurse sets the interval for the person's skin and mattress.

Can care be shared with family members?+

Yes. We can cover set hours and teach family members safe moving and skin checks.

Can I claim this on insurance?+

We are not an insurance-billing clinic. You pay directly and we issue a fully coded invoice that many international and premium UAE plans reimburse.
