Doctor involvement: GP review for stage 3–4, infected or non-healing pressure injuries.
What does an early pressure sore look like?
Skin that stays red, purple or darker than the surrounding area when pressed, often warm, firm or painful, usually over the heels, hips, base of the spine or shoulder blades.
When should a pressure sore be seen by a doctor?
When it is deep, smells, has spreading redness, or the person has a fever or new confusion. These can mean infection and need same-day review.
Questions families ask
How often will the nurse visit?+
Usually two to three times a week at first, set by the dressing plan and adjusted as the wound heals.
Can pressure sores be prevented?+
Many can. Regular repositioning, the right mattress, good nutrition and daily skin checks lower the risk considerably.
Can I claim this on insurance?+
We are not an insurance-billing clinic. You pay directly and we issue a fully coded invoice that many international and premium UAE plans reimburse.
