Vomiting
Vomiting is usually due to a viral stomach bug or food poisoning and settles within 24–48 hours with rest and fluids. Vomiting blood, projectile vomiting, vomiting with severe pain, dehydration, confusion or vomiting after a head injury needs urgent care. Persistent vomiting over 48 hours needs medical assessment.
