Doctor involvement: A named GP reviews the discharge plan and signs off every nursing task.
How does the handover from hospital work?
Send us the discharge summary, or ask the ward to share it. A GP reviews it, calls you or a family member, and agrees what needs to happen in the first 72 hours.
The first nurse visit is usually booked for the day after discharge. From then on, visits follow the written plan rather than being booked one at a time.
What happens if recovery does not go to plan?
Nurses record observations against limits set by the GP. If a wound looks infected, a temperature rises or pain is not controlled, the GP is contacted the same day and can visit, change treatment or arrange readmission.
Can the family stay informed?
Yes. With the patient's consent, we agree one family contact and share a short update after each nurse visit, plus a GP summary at agreed points in the recovery.
Questions families ask
How soon after discharge can a nurse visit at home?+
Usually the next day, and on the same day where the discharge is planned in advance. Send the discharge summary early so the GP can review it before you leave the ward.
Do I need a referral from the hospital?+
No. Patients and families can contact us directly. A referral or discharge letter from the hospital team helps us plan care faster and safer.
Can I claim hospital-to-home care on insurance?+
We are not an insurance-billing clinic. You pay at the visit and we issue a fully coded invoice that many international and premium UAE plans reimburse.
