Employee health checks in Dubai: an employer's guide
An employee health check is a scheduled clinical appointment: consent, a short history, measurements such as blood pressure and weight, any blood tests agreed in advance, and a private review of results with a doctor. The employee keeps their results; the employer receives anonymised, aggregate reporting only.

What a check actually includes
Every check starts with consent and a short history, because a test result means little without knowing the person it belongs to. Measurements usually include blood pressure, height, weight and pulse, and blood tests are added where they are clinically useful for that workforce rather than as a fixed list.
The appointment ends with a private conversation with a clinician, who explains what the results mean and what, if anything, needs attention.
How a programme is scoped
Scoping starts with your workforce: how many people, where they sit, what hours they work, and whether anyone is on shifts or travelling. From that we propose the content, the format and the schedule in writing before anything is booked.
Because content varies between organisations, there is no single published package. Programmes are quoted in a tailored proposal rather than priced on a page.
What the employer receives
Individual clinical information stays with the employee. Employers receive only anonymised, aggregate reporting agreed before the programme begins, and only where group numbers are large enough that nobody can be identified from it.
Typical reporting covers participation and broad themes, such as how many employees were advised to follow up on a cardiovascular or metabolic finding. Small teams receive reduced reporting, because a percentage of a handful of people is not anonymous.
What this is not
This is voluntary preventive healthcare. Aafiyah does not issue fitness-to-work certificates, statutory occupational-health clearances or school health services, and it does not replace an employer's own regulatory arrangements.
Anything needing treatment is handled as ordinary confidential GP care with the employee.

What does an employee health check in Dubai include?
It includes consent, a short medical history, measurements such as blood pressure, pulse and weight, any blood tests agreed in advance, and a private review of the results with a doctor. Content is scoped with the employer beforehand, so it differs between organisations.
There is no single fixed package, because a useful check depends on the workforce being seen. Anything that needs attention is followed up as ordinary confidential GP care with the employee.
How long does an employee health check take?
Most employees are away from their desk for a short appointment, typically twenty to thirty minutes, including consent, measurements, any blood draw and the conversation with a clinician. Executive assessments are deliberately longer because the history and discussion take more time.
Slots are pre-booked so people are not queuing, and departments are staggered so no single team is away at once.

What employers ask before choosing a provider
What is included in a corporate health checkup in Dubai?
+
An employee health check covers consent, a short clinical history, physical measurements such as blood pressure and BMI, the blood tests agreed for your programme, and a review of results with a doctor. Content is set with your HR contact so testing stays clinically appropriate for your workforce.
How often should staff have a company health screening?
+
Most Dubai employers run an annual employee medical check, with more frequent review for staff who have a finding that needs follow-up. Age, role and existing conditions all shift that interval, so we set the cadence with you rather than applying one rule to everyone.
Who sees the results of an employee health check?
+
The employee receives their own results and discusses them with a doctor. The employer receives only anonymised, aggregate workforce information agreed in advance. Individual clinical results are never shared with an employer without the employee's explicit consent.
What does a corporate wellness programme in Dubai include?
+
A corporate wellness programme with Aafiyah Care Clinic combines employee health checks, GP access, on-site screening days and workplace health education, scoped to your workforce. Every element is delivered by our own British-trained, GP-led clinical team from our Business Bay clinic — not subcontracted to a dispatch app.
How do we start an employee wellbeing programme for our company?
+
Tell us your headcount, sites and what you want the programme to achieve. We propose a scope — screening content, delivery format, on-site days, GP access — and confirm what employees receive and what the employer receives. Programmes are quoted bespoke; there is no fixed package to fit into.
Do you work with SMEs as well as large employers in Dubai?
+
Yes. Workplace wellness works for a ten-person team as well as a thousand-person workforce; the difference is delivery format. Smaller teams often attend the Business Bay clinic in booked slots, while larger workforces are better served by an on-site health day at your office.
This page is general information for employers, not medical advice and not legal advice. Aafiyah Care Clinic does not provide school health services or formal occupational-health certification. For an individual health concern, speak to a doctor — contact the clinic.
