Vaccinations in Arabian Ranches: School Forms, Travel Jabs and Boosters at Home

From routine childhood boosters to last-minute travel vaccinations before a half-term trip — how home vaccinations work for Arabian Ranches families.

Why Arabian Ranches families book at home

The clinic run from Ranches to Jumeirah or Downtown is a 40-minute round trip. With two children due boosters, that's a wasted morning and a child who associates vaccines with stress. A nurse at home keeps the experience calm and brief.

Childhood vaccines we deliver at home

The full DHA schedule: hexavalent (DTaP-IPV-Hib-HepB), pneumococcal, rotavirus, MMR, varicella, hepatitis A, meningococcal, HPV (from age 9), annual flu. We bring cold-chain transport boxes and digital temperature logs.

School health forms

GEMS, JESS, Kings', Repton, Brighton College, Dubai British and Nord Anglia all require completed health records and immunisation history. We complete the form in the same visit and email a signed PDF the next morning.

Travel vaccinations

Common requests from Ranches families before summer or Eid travel: hepatitis A+B, typhoid, rabies pre-exposure, yellow fever (clinic-only — WHO designated centre), Japanese encephalitis, meningitis ACWY for Hajj/Umrah, tick-borne encephalitis for European hiking, cholera for high-risk regions. Ideally booked 4–6 weeks before travel; we can fast-track in under 2 weeks for most destinations.

Pricing

Home visit fee AED 350 for vaccinations only (waived if combined with a GP consult). Individual vaccines from AED 150. Most insurers cover childhood schedule vaccines; travel vaccines are usually self-pay.

School vaccinations in the UAE

Most Dubai schools require an updated immunisation record at enrolment and at major transitions. The UAE national schedule covers BCG, hepatitis B, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, polio, Hib, pneumococcal, rotavirus, MMR, varicella, hepatitis A, HPV (for adolescents), and meningococcal. We review your child's record against the schedule and complete any catch-up doses needed.

Travel vaccines for family trips

If you're travelling from Dubai to South Asia, Africa, South America or parts of Southeast Asia, your children may need additional vaccines beyond the routine schedule — hepatitis A, typhoid, yellow fever (depending on destination), Japanese encephalitis or rabies in specific circumstances. Plan 4–6 weeks ahead for full protection.

Home vaccinations in Arabian Ranches

We come to your villa, complete the visit in 20–30 minutes, and update both the printed record and any school-required documentation. For families with multiple children, this is often the easier option compared to multiple clinic trips.

Coordinating with your school

We can complete most schools' immunisation forms during the visit and email them directly to the school nurse the same day. For older records held in another country, we accept printed or photographed vaccination cards and build out a UAE-compatible record. Catch-up doses are scheduled to the published international guidelines so children remain protected without unnecessary doubling-up.

Travel vaccines families often miss

Hepatitis A for any trip outside the Gulf states and Europe. Typhoid for South Asia, Africa and parts of Latin America. Rabies pre-exposure for extended rural stays. Japanese encephalitis for parts of Asia in monsoon season. Yellow fever for sub-Saharan Africa and South America. We check destinations against CDC and WHO guidance and recommend what's genuinely needed — not a blanket panel.

Side effects and what to expect

Most childhood and adult vaccines cause mild local soreness, low-grade temperature and tiredness for 24–48 hours. Some live vaccines (MMR, varicella) can cause a delayed mild reaction at 7–14 days. We brief parents on what's expected and what isn't, and the doctor or nurse who vaccinated stays available for any concerns post-visit.

Frequently asked

Can you bring my child's vaccination record up to date if we've moved from the UK or US?

Yes. We map your existing schedule to the DHA equivalent and only give what's actually needed.

Do you do yellow fever at home?

No — yellow fever must be administered at a WHO-designated centre. We coordinate that referral and handle every other travel vaccine at home.

How far in advance should I book travel vaccines?

Ideally 4–6 weeks before travel. Hepatitis A and typhoid give protection in 10–14 days, so we can still help if you're closer to departure.

Do you provide international vaccination certificates?

We provide signed and stamped vaccination records for school and travel purposes. Yellow fever ICVP certificates are issued only by DHA-authorised yellow fever centres — we coordinate that referral when needed.
