Frequently asked questions
Is HRT safe?
For most healthy women within 10 years of menopause, benefits outweigh risks. Modern regimens use body-identical oestrogen (transdermal) and micronised progesterone. Your GP will walk through your personal risk profile.
Do I need an FSH test?
Not if you are over 45 with typical symptoms. Under 45 or in unusual presentations, yes. Your GP decides.
What if I can't take HRT?
Non-hormonal options exist — SSRIs, gabapentin, clonidine, CBT, targeted lifestyle. We are not an HRT-only clinic.
Vaginal symptoms only?
Local vaginal oestrogen is safe for almost everyone and profoundly effective. A separate lower-dose consultation is possible if that's all you need.
Home or clinic?
Either. Full menopause consultation works well by video, home visit, or in the Business Bay clinic. Bloods drawn at home.
Insurance?
Most UAE insurers cover menopause consultations when clinically framed. HRT is often self-pay. Coded invoice provided.
