Vitamin D in Dubai. Test first. Then the right booster.
70–90% of Dubai residents are vitamin D deficient — despite the sun. We test your level at home in 10 minutes, then your GP prescribes the right correction: a 300,000 IU booster injection, weekly 60,000 IU loading sachets, or daily D3 — whatever your blood actually needs.
The three vitamin D services — and when each is right
1. Vitamin D blood test
25-OH vitamin D measured at home or in clinic. Result in 24h, GP reviews and calls you. Foundation of everything else.
See the test2. Vitamin D booster injection
300,000 IU intramuscular D3 — the fastest way to correct severe deficiency. Prescribed only when your blood result calls for it.
See the injection3. Oral D3 plan
For mild deficiency or maintenance — pharmacy-grade D3 (10,000 IU daily loading or 60,000 IU weekly), reviewed at 8–12 weeks.
Start with a testWhy vitamin D deficiency is the silent epidemic of Dubai
UAE has one of the highest rates of vitamin D deficiency in the world — 70–90% of residents in published studies. The reason isn't the sun; it's the lifestyle around it. From May to October the heat keeps people indoors. The rest of the year sunscreen, sunglasses and modest clothing prevent the UV-B exposure your skin needs to make D3. Add air-conditioned offices, school runs by car, and a working day that starts before sunrise — and your skin barely sees the sun.
The consequences aren't subtle. Low vitamin D is independently linked to fatigue, low mood, recurrent chest infections, muscle and bone pain, poor sleep, hair shedding and reduced immunity. In children it drives rickets — we still see it. In women it accelerates bone loss after pregnancy and through menopause. The fix is cheap, safe and fast — but only if the dose matches the deficit. That's the whole point of testing first.
Vitamin D questions Dubai actually asks
What is the best vitamin D booster in Dubai?
For confirmed deficiency, a single intramuscular vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) injection of 300,000 IU corrects levels faster than any oral booster — typically within 2–4 weeks. For mild deficiency or maintenance, daily oral D3 2,000–4,000 IU is usually enough. The right choice depends on your blood level, which is why we test first and prescribe second.
How do I know if I'm vitamin D deficient in Dubai?
You don't — without a 25-OH vitamin D blood test. Symptoms (fatigue, low mood, muscle aches, recurrent infections, bone pain) are non-specific. Despite the sunshine, surveys put deficiency rates in UAE residents at 70–90%. We do the test at your home in 10 minutes.
How much does a vitamin D injection cost in Dubai?
A GP consultation plus a 300,000 IU vitamin D3 injection is transparently quoted — typically several hundred dirhams including the home visit. Itemised invoice for insurance. WhatsApp +971 52 320 1543 for an exact price.
Can I get a vitamin D booster shot at home in Dubai Marina or JBR?
Yes — our DHA-licensed nurses visit every Dubai community: Marina, JBR, Downtown, Business Bay, Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Hills, JVC, Emirates Hills, The Springs and more. Same-day in most areas.
How quickly does a vitamin D injection work?
Serum 25-OH vitamin D rises measurably within 2–4 weeks of a 300,000 IU IM injection. We retest at 8–12 weeks to confirm you are in the optimal 75–150 nmol/L range.
Is vitamin D3 better than vitamin D2?
Yes — cholecalciferol (D3) raises and maintains serum 25-OH vitamin D significantly better than ergocalciferol (D2). Every injection and supplement we use is D3.
Should I take vitamin D 60,000 IU or 10,000 IU tablets?
60,000 IU weekly sachets are a common loading regimen for moderate deficiency; 10,000 IU daily is a shorter, more aggressive load. Both work — but dose, duration and the need for an injection instead should be decided after a blood test, not before.
Can I combine vitamin D and B12 injections in one visit?
Yes — both are intramuscular and one of our most-requested combinations given how common dual deficiency is in Dubai. One nurse visit, two shots, no extra call-out fee.
Is vitamin D safe in pregnancy?
Yes — vitamin D supplementation is recommended in pregnancy and dose is tailored to your level. We routinely correct deficiency in our antenatal patients.
Do you offer vitamin D testing without an injection?
Absolutely. The home blood test is a standalone service — many patients just want to know their level. If you're sufficient, we'll tell you so.
