When is the best time to test testosterone?
Between 7am and 10am, fasted, on two separate days if the first is borderline. Levels are highest in the morning and decline through the day. We arrange early home visits so the timing is right.
Is a home testosterone test as accurate as a clinic one?
Yes. A qualified phlebotomist draws the sample, it goes to a DHA-accredited lab, and your GP reviews it exactly as they would from a clinic draw. The venue does not affect accuracy.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. You can book directly. A DHA-licensed GP still reviews every request before phlebotomy and every result before it reaches you — that is how private care should work.
What if my testosterone is low?
Your GP will explain the number in context — symptoms, sleep, weight, alcohol, medications — and discuss options ranging from lifestyle change to referral for TRT assessment. No one is put on treatment without a full clinical review.
Will insurance cover a testosterone test?
Some UAE insurers cover it when clinically indicated. We issue coded invoices you can submit. If you would like us to check first, tell us your insurer at booking.
Is the visit discreet?
Yes. Male or female nurse on request, no branded uniforms, no clinic name on the invoice header if you prefer, and results are shared only with you.
