Home doctor service — FAQs
What exactly is a 'home doctor service' in Dubai?+
A home doctor service is an organised dispatch of DHA-licensed GPs and nurses to patient addresses across Dubai — for acute illness, chronic disease, vaccinations, blood tests, IV therapy and minor procedures. The good ones (us included) run a doctor rota with named clinicians, electronic records and insurance-coded invoicing, not a freelance call list.
Do I have to sign up to a subscription to use you?+
No. The default is pay-per-visit: AED 500 daytime, AED 900 overnight. Memberships exist for families who use us monthly (price drops to ~AED 350/visit and includes annual labs and vaccinations) but they are entirely optional.
How much does the home doctor service cost end-to-end?+
A typical illness visit: AED 500 consult + AED 150–400 medications + 0 if no procedure = AED 650–900 all in. A typical bloods + review: AED 500 consult + AED 600–1,800 lab panel + report = AED 1,100–2,300. We quote before doing anything; no hidden charges.
Is the home doctor service licensed by DHA?+
Yes. We are a licensed DHA medical facility with named, regulator-listed doctors and nurses. Every prescription, certificate and report carries the doctor's DHA licence number and is legally valid for employers, schools, insurers and airlines.
Which insurance plans cover your home doctor service?+
Direct-billing partners include selected Bupa Global, Cigna International, AXA Gulf, Allianz Care and Daman International plans. For all others we issue a coded invoice in English that 95%+ of international plans reimburse on submission within 2–4 weeks.
What's actually in a home doctor's bag?+
Stethoscope, otoscope, BP cuff, pulse oximeter, glucometer, thermometer, 12-lead ECG, urine dipsticks, rapid strep/flu/COVID/RSV, blood-draw kit, IV cannulae, IV fluids (saline, dextrose, Ringer's), salbutamol nebuliser, oxygen, EpiPen, plus a formulary of common oral and injectable medications.
How quickly can the home doctor service reach me?+
60–90 minutes for central Dubai (Business Bay, Downtown, DIFC, Marina, JBR, Palm, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Dubai Hills, JLT). 90–120 minutes for outer communities (Arabian Ranches, Tilal Al Ghaf, MBR City, Dubai South). Overnight is often faster.
Can the home doctor service issue sick notes and medical certificates?+
Yes — DHA-recognised sick leave certificates, fit-to-work, fit-to-fly, school absence notes, insurance reports and pre-employment letters are all issued same day with the doctor's stamp, signature and licence number.
