Flu vaccine Dubai — FAQs

How much does the flu vaccine cost in Dubai?+

The seasonal quadrivalent flu vaccine at Aafiyah is AED 250 in our Business Bay clinic and AED 400 at your home, office or hotel — that includes the DHA-licensed nurse or British-trained GP visit and cold-chain transport. High-dose flu vaccine for adults over 65 is AED 550. Corporate flu drives for 10+ staff are AED 150–200 per person.

Which flu vaccine do you use?+

We use the WHO-recommended 2025/26 Northern Hemisphere quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (QIV) — Sanofi Vaxigrip Tetra or GSK Fluarix Tetra — covering four strains (two A, two B). For adults 65+ we stock Sanofi Efluelda high-dose (four times the antigen) which is proven more effective in older adults.

When should I get the flu jab in Dubai?+

The Dubai flu season runs November through April, peaking January–February. The best time to get vaccinated is October–November, giving two weeks for immunity to build before peak circulation. But it is worth getting the jab any time up to March — flu is still circulating even in April.

Can I get the flu vaccine at home in Dubai?+

Yes — a DHA-licensed nurse arrives at your Dubai home, office or hotel within 60–90 minutes, brings the vaccine in a cold-chain box, and administers it in under two minutes. Ideal for families vaccinating everyone at once, for elderly or immunocompromised patients avoiding waiting rooms, and for busy executives.

Is the flu vaccine safe for children and pregnant women?+

Yes. The inactivated flu vaccine is licensed from 6 months of age and is actively recommended by DHA and NHS for pregnant women (any trimester) — it protects the mother and the baby for the first 6 months of life. Our paediatric-trained nurses vaccinate children at home routinely.

Can I have the flu vaccine and COVID booster together?+

Yes. Both are inactivated vaccines and can be given on the same day, in different arms. Many patients book a joint flu + COVID booster home visit — one nurse call, both done in five minutes.

Do you do corporate flu vaccination drives?+

Yes — we run on-site flu clinics for Dubai offices from 10 staff upwards. AED 150–200 per person including nurse team, vaccines, cold-chain, DHA reporting and post-visit certification. We cover DIFC, Business Bay, Downtown, JLT, Media City and every business hub.

Does insurance cover the flu vaccine in Dubai?+

Many Dubai policies reimburse the seasonal flu vaccine under preventive care, though we are not insurance-based and every visit is self-pay. We issue coded invoices in the format your insurer needs and you claim reimbursement from your insurer afterwards.
