What does HbA1c measure?+
HbA1c measures the percentage of haemoglobin in your blood that has glucose attached to it. Because red blood cells live for approximately 3 months, HbA1c reflects your average blood sugar over that period — giving a much more reliable picture than a single fasting glucose reading.
What is a normal HbA1c level?+
