Bloods taken at home. Results explained by your doctor.
A DHA-licensed nurse comes to you anywhere in Dubai. Results land in 24–48 hours — and then a GP actually calls you to explain them, rather than emailing a PDF and leaving you to search each number yourself.

How it works, step by step
1. Tell us what you need
WhatsApp or call the clinic. If you already have a lab request form, send a photo. If you don't, a GP decides which markers are worth taking — you are never sold a panel you don't need.
2. Pick your slot
Morning fasting slots from 06:30, or any time that suits you across the day, seven days a week. We confirm a one-hour arrival window.
3. Nurse visits you
A DHA-licensed nurse arrives at your home, hotel or office with sterile single-use kit, draws the sample in a few minutes, labels it in front of you and applies a dressing.
4. Sample to the lab
Samples are temperature-controlled and couriered straight to our accredited partner laboratory, usually within the hour, to protect sample integrity.
5. Results in 24–48 hours
Routine panels report within 24 hours; specialised assays such as hormones or autoimmune markers can take 48–72 hours. Your written report is emailed to you.
6. Your doctor calls and explains
This is the part most home-collection services skip. A GP phones you to walk through every result — what's normal, what isn't, what it means for you, and exactly what happens next. Prescriptions, referrals and repeat testing are arranged on that same call.
A doctor calls you and explains every result.
Most home collection services in Dubai are a courier with a needle: the sample goes to a lab, a PDF arrives, and you are left reading reference ranges at midnight. We do the opposite. Once your results are back, an Aafiyah GP phones you and takes you through them line by line.
Every marker, in plain English
What is normal, what is borderline, what genuinely needs acting on — and what can safely be ignored.
Interpreted in context
Your results are read against your symptoms, medication, weight, family history and previous bloods, not a generic range.
A written plan
Treatment, lifestyle changes, prescriptions or referral — agreed on the call and emailed to you afterwards.
Urgent results called sooner
Anything clinically significant is escalated to a GP immediately and you are called the same day, not at the routine slot.
Repeat testing scheduled
Where a marker needs rechecking, we book the follow-up draw there and then so nothing drifts.
Continuity
Your results stay in one record with the same clinic, so trends over time are visible rather than scattered across labs.
Eligibility & preparation
Adults & children
We draw bloods from adults and from children, including infants where clinically appropriate. A parent or guardian must be present for anyone under 18.
Fasting tests
Fasting glucose and lipid panels need 8–12 hours without food; water and prescribed medication are fine. Book an early morning slot so you're not fasting all day.
Blood thinners
Tell us if you take warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, clopidogrel or high-dose aspirin. Collection is still safe; the nurse simply applies pressure for longer.
Difficult veins
If you have a history of difficult draws, dehydration or previous failed attempts, say so when booking — we send a senior nurse and ask you to hydrate beforehand.
Needle anxiety
Tell us in advance. We allow extra time, use a smaller gauge where possible, and can draw with you lying down.
When home collection isn't right
Active chest pain, breathlessness, fainting, heavy bleeding or suspected sepsis need urgent assessment, not a blood test — call 998 or attend an emergency department.
Pricing guidance
Home visit fee
AED 250 for the nurse's home visit, anywhere in Dubai. One fee whether one person or several household members are tested at the same appointment.
Laboratory charges
Priced per marker or panel, confirmed with you in writing before the nurse is dispatched. Simple panels typically sit in the low hundreds; extended longevity panels cost more.
GP results consultation
Included. The doctor's call to explain your results carries no separate charge when the bloods are booked through us.
Payment & insurance
Self-pay by card or transfer. Insurance reimbursement support available — we issue a fully coded invoice and supporting documentation for your claim.
Every price is confirmed in writing before a nurse is dispatched. Nothing is added on the day.
FAQs — home blood collection in Dubai
How does blood collection at home work in Dubai?+
Message or call the clinic, choose a slot, and a DHA-licensed nurse comes to your home, hotel or office to draw the sample. It is couriered to our accredited lab, results come back in 24–48 hours, and a GP then phones you to explain what every result means and what to do next.
Does a doctor explain my results, or do I just get a PDF?+
A doctor explains them. Every home blood collection booked with Aafiyah includes a GP results call — we go through each marker, what is normal, what is borderline, what needs treating, and we arrange prescriptions, referrals or repeat testing on that call. The written report is emailed to you as well.
How much does home blood collection cost in Dubai?+
AED 250 for the nurse home visit, plus laboratory charges for the markers you need, quoted in writing before anything is booked. The GP call to explain your results is included at no extra cost.
How quickly will I get my blood test results?+
Most routine panels — full blood count, kidney and liver function, lipids, HbA1c, thyroid, vitamin D and B12 — report within 24 hours. Hormone, autoimmune and specialised assays can take 48–72 hours. You are told the expected turnaround when you book.
Do I need to fast before the blood test?+
Only for certain tests, mainly fasting glucose, insulin and lipid profiles, which need 8–12 hours without food. Water and your usual prescribed medication are fine. HbA1c, thyroid and most other panels do not require fasting.
Can you take blood from children at home?+
Yes, from children and in many cases infants, with a parent or guardian present. Home collection is often much calmer for a child than a laboratory waiting room, and our nurses are experienced with paediatric draws.
Which areas of Dubai do you cover for home blood collection?+
All of Dubai — Downtown, Business Bay, DIFC, Marina, JBR, JLT, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, JVC, Dubai Hills, Arabian Ranches, Mirdif, Deira, Bur Dubai, Silicon Oasis and beyond, covering 164+ neighbourhoods. Hotels and offices included.
Can I use my own lab request form from another doctor?+
Yes. Send us a photo of the request form and we will collect exactly what has been requested. If you would also like our GP to interpret the results for you, we can arrange that as a consultation.
Is home blood collection safe and hygienic?+
Yes. Every draw uses sterile single-use equipment, samples are labelled in front of you, sharps are removed by the nurse, and specimens are transported in temperature-controlled conditions to a licensed, accredited laboratory.
Can I book home blood collection on the same day?+
Usually yes, subject to nurse availability and lab cut-off times. Fasting panels are best booked for the next morning so you are not fasting through the day.
